Papers with the Archival designtation can take many forms. They can be glossy, matte, canvas, or an artistic product. These papers are acid free, lignin free and can be made of virgin tree fiber (alpha cellulose) or 25-100% cotton rag. They are likely to have optical or fluorescent brightening agents (OBAs) - chemicals that make the paper appear brighter white. Presence of OBAs does not indicate your image will fade faster. It does predict a slow change in the white point of your paper, especially if it is displayed without UV filter glass or acrylic.
Archival Grade Summary
Numerous papers - made from tree or cotton content
Acid and lignin free base stock
Inkjet coating layer acid free
Can have OBAs in the base or the coating
Photobase Coating Acidity
Photobase resin coated (RC) inkjet papers always have a slightly acidic coating. The acid content (pH 6.8) makes instant ink drying possible. The level of acid content is not high enough to affect print stability over time.
The base stock of all Red River inkjet papers are acid free.

Blew me away!!

I have just recently gotten into printing my art and was recommended by so many sites that this paper is the best of the best. I previously tried using walmart generic paper and the colors came out so. dull and washed out that i was worried my printer was not as good or that my inks were already bad. But then i got my red river paper in and from out the gate, the difference in print quality was night and day. The colors were vibrant, the print quality was so hyper detailed and it felt like a whole new world was opened up to me. I'm so so satisfied with my purchase and this will certainly not be my last purchase from Red River. It still blows me away at the quality and how vibrant my art looks now.
If you were looking for a sign for whether or not the hype is merited, let this be your sign!

Top quality art printing paper

I recently printed twenty scanned black and white drawings on Aurora 250 paper. The paper is beautiful and has a soft finish but the prints are sharp and clear. My printer is a Canon iP8720 and the 250 fed through the printer with no problem. I did not have to adjust for the thickness, but I fed the paper through one sheet at a time for extra care.
Due to the paper finish, I think the ink is "in" the paper, not just "on" the surface. And no bleeding or smearing detected.

Quality paper for art prints

I love this paper. I previously used the 60lb Polar Matte paper (which I also love) and recently upgraded to the Aurora White 250 for my art prints. The extra thickness and texture of this paper elevates my artwork, the colors are just as vibrant and accurate, and I don’t have any sheet feeding issues with my Epson P600. The 300 version of this paper causes feeding issues with my particular printer.

My go to paper for photos

I print most of my photos on the Aurora white. They give a sense of texture to the work. Since my photos are mostly abstract the paper works great for me. Really see those details. I also purchased the 4x6 size to use for previews. I find if I print a small version of different takes on a piece in progress it helps me to finalize the finished product without wasting ink or paper.

Not good for Epson P-900

The paper is fantastic-lovely texture and feel and my art reproduces well. My issue is with my printer. If you are using an Epson SC-P900 I must caution you. Mine stops feeding this paper after 4 sheets at the most. Again-this printer has known feed issues, I don’t think it’s necessarily the fault of the paper. It could also be the greeting card size (6.25-9) I’m not sure how it works with full sheets. I wish it got along better with my printer.

I am a watercolor and ink artist and I've just started selling my prints at a local art gallery, Creative Spark Arts. I've been using this paper for greeting cards. This is my first time using a professional paper and I am really happy with the true colors I get and how well the ink stays fast.
The paper feels really nice in your hands. You know you're holding a quality print with Aurora Art White 250. It really picks up the texture of the Arches watercolor paper that I use.
I am using a Canon Pixma G4010 series inkjet printer and I have been typically using the high-quality setting with the matte photo paper setting. I use the Affinity Photo program to tweak the scans of my artwork.
