How is Blanco Satin Canvas Different from Blanco Matte Canvas?
Both products are made 65/35 2:1 woven canvas. The coating of Satin Canvas has a slight reflective sheen. The Matte Canvas surface has no reflection or sheen. Satin Canvas uses Photo Black inks and Matte Canvas uses Matte Black ink.

If you have questions about your printer and Blanco Matte Canvas, ask us before buying please!
* We recommend a printer that has a specialty paper path such as the Epson R3000, Epson P600, Canon Pro9500, Epson 3880, or Canon PRO-1000.
* Canvas can be fed, one sheet at a time, into most printers with a top paper tray. You may need to use a stiff board placed behind the canvas sheet to help the feed process. See the canvas handling guide.
** HP wide format printers (roll-fed) are compatible with Blanco Matte Canvas.

Beautiful canvas. I use it frequently and am very disappointed it is being discontinued.
Awesome Canvas Look

I recently bought some 8 1/2 x 11 Blanco satin Canvas to experiment with. I was pleasantly surprised at how cool the prints look. I've mounted a few of them for display/sale at a local gallery and have sold a couple. Nothing but great reviews on my canvas pieces. They're very simple pieces with the canvas mounted to plywood and a simple wrap-around frame (see attached photo). I have plans to do some larger pieces like this. Thanks, Red River, for a great product.
Great canvas!

I purchased the 13x19 sheets for use with my Epson p700 printer. I'm very pleased with how the canvas prints! It's a lovely bright white and has a gentle satin sheen, exactly the look I was going for.
Because the canvas is slightly floppy, I initially had an issue getting it to load (the end would get hung up inside the printer). I found a workaround by using a stiff undersheet of cardstock to load the canvas and then removing the cardstock before printing.
I also had a bit of trouble getting the colors I wanted using the recommended settings for the Blanco Canvas--my first couple of prints came out very dull and ugly. When I used the settings for the Aurora Art White paper instead, the print came out looking great. I'm not sure why that would be, but I'm happy as long as it looks good!

Not impressed at all, first paper from RR that I do not like.
Very fine canvas!

I recently acquired a Canon Prograf 2100 wide format printer to expand my photography business, and control the quality of my work in house. With little experience in canvas, I started with a name brand manufacturer satin canvas roll stock. In my first few months I went through a couple of rolls. While the canvas did fine, sometimes the color matching was not the best, and required some tweaking. Since I stretched my own prints onto frames, the stock canvas was somewhat bulky to work with on corners. I decided to try the Blanco Satin Canvas and instantly knew I made the right choice.. First print out of the printer was exactly what it was supposed to be. I used the suggested settings from Red River and the corresponding ICC profiles for the Satin Canvas. Color was a bit deeper and richer. Also, to my surprise the canvas is a bit more supple and is much easier to work with when stapling and stretching. I was also able to coat the canvas using the recommended products here and after a quick lesson (thanks for the videos) on a sample piece, I was creating prints that are getting rave reviews from my customers. Thanks for the great service and the great products! I will be back.
First Review!

I had been thinking about trying to print canvas for some time and finally got up the courage. I bought the roll feeder for my Epson SC 800 and decided to jump in with a 40' roll of 17" Blanco Satin Canvas. \r
I was impressed by the packaging for the roll. After I finished my first print, I was able to easily unload the roll and put it back into the package for safe storage.\r
It took me a long time to get the parer to load correctly. I think the end of the roll was cut at a very slight bias (probably less than one degree). After trying to make a clean cut with shears, I resorted to using a razor knife and some of my wife's quilting tools. That solved the problem.\r
I printed a 17x23 inch copy of an Alaska Grizzly catching a Sockeye Salmon. The result was stunning. My next project is turning the print into a 14x20 gallery wrap.\r
I was a bit nervous about this whole project as there were no reviews about this paper - just too new, I guess. I did spot a couple of discrepancies in some of information on the website appeared to relate to the Matte version. My first print confirms that Photo Black ink is correct for this paper, and the paper settings (gap and thickness) given for Matte work just fine.
