Card Isle Chosen as LOUIE Award Finalist
February 24, 2016 The Annual LOUIE Awards honor the best of the greeting card industry and are commonly referred to as “The Oscars of Greeting Cards.” Each year, greeting card companies from around the world submit thousands of their best designs for consideration. A panel of distinguished industry judges choose three finalists for each category based on each card’s originality, impact, design excellence, send-ability, and price-based value.
This year, The Card Isle Corporation submitted two card designs on behalf of independent artists, including a Hanukkah holiday card design by California-based artist Jill Meyer, which was selected as one of the three finalists in the LOUIE Awards Religious Celebrations ($4 and Below) category, along with cards by Hallmark Cards and Calypso Cards. The cards were printed on Red River Paper's 60lb. Paper Canvas.
“It’s been a lovely turn of events—one that I hoped would someday happen, but never dared to think would,” Meyer said of the nomination, citing her artistic relationship with Card Isle as integral to receiving the honor, “Fun, positive, supportive, responsive, helpful, and relaxed…it’s just a pleasure to work with Card Isle.” Mary

Finalists for all categories will be displayed in a special exhibit at the National Stationary Show, May 21-24 in New York City, and the 2017 LOUIE Award winners will be announced at a gala event Sunday, May 21 as part of the NSS festivities.
