NAME CHANGE ALERT
- Aurora Art Natural 285 is now Aurora Art Natural 300.
The change represents an increase in the basis weight of the paper to 300 gsm. Weight is the measure of density or how much cotton and coating make up the paper. The increase, while modest, is due to changes in the manufacturing process. The paper thickness of 18 mil remains unchanged.
If you have used Aurora successfully in the past, you will not see any change in the paper's usability.

Aurora Art Natural is a very good paper for a relatively low price especially the 17 inch roll that I recently purchased. I compared prints on Aurora to ones I had made on Epson Legacy Fibre, also a matte fine art paper. The Epson paper is a bit better with better blacks and a bit more brilliant colors, but the Aurora is not far behind. Considering that the Epson paper is quite a bit more expensive, a 17 inch Epson roll is more than twice as much, the Aurora paper is a bargain. Still I can't give this paper five starts because it falls short of the best matte papers.

For the longest time, I've been trying to find a paper/printer combo that could handle replicating my art. Well, this is it folks. I've been so frustrated recently with my paper from Michaels but this paper is a game changer. My first page with this paper was perfect and almost identical to my art! I really love the included ICC profiles and recommended printer settings for my Canon. 100% worth it. I will be reordering this over and over.

This is an amazing paper. I am using it in conjunction with an Epson XP-8700 paper and am using the 8x10 size.
1. I love the 8x10 size. It is a perfect size to showcase a print and for a buyer to be easily able to frame the print.
2. I feel the quality and weight - image and of the paper - are better than any of the high end Epson papers - Velvet Fine Art and Platine etc. It has a very natural look. I have been able to more accurately represent some colors that were giving me fits on other papers. Cerulean Blue for example is always hard to print correctly.
3. The price is terrific.
Like others, I could not find any reasonable print shops nearby that I would trust. A print is a work of art itself and should be treated as such.

Great product. Use with my Epson SC p800, and couldn't be happier. The p800 matte black ink goes just perfect with the finish of Aurora Natural, and the prints look beautiful behind glass/frame.

This is my third order, as I’m an illustrator/graphic designer starting up a small online shop, I had been researching how to do my own printing after being let down too many times by local print companies. I came about red River from a blog that was giving ratings and reviews on paper types. I’d gotten espon and canon samples but they were pricey and just okay. I loved that red River has sections to find what paper types would suit my needs. It took away the guesswork and I ended up ordering the aurora nat 300 and I love it! I have to input a sheet one at a time but it goes through my canon pro 200 just fine. It comes packaged well with a how to use with different printers and how to store. I’ve ordered the 5x7 and 8.5x11. My prints come out great! Definitely my go to for my printing paper!

The thickness is a challenge for my epson printer, but attentiveness and persistence pay off. The weight and texture of these cards make them more than images on cards, they are fine art prints themselves. They are in a category way above anything else.

Verified Buyer
I was looking for a thick, high quality 100% cotton paper for making prints. The paper available on Amazon was way too expensive.
I first ordered two sample packs so I could try different options and chose the Aurora Natural 300. The white was really nice as well, but I preferred the creamier look of the natural. It seemed more elegant. And the prints turned out perfect. They looked just like the original colored pencil drawing.
I was also impressed with how it was packaged. It came in a durable box with lid with a clear description on the lid. I will definitely be buying from them when I need more paper.
I even shared the website with my photographer sister. She was impressed with the selection available.
