Polar Gloss Metallic 255 is a truly unique inkjet paper that closely matches the look of photo lab metallic prints. Polar Gloss Metallic features the same aspects as its lab equivalent - a high gloss finish and a pearlescent base stock that yields an elegant iridescence in your images. It is compatible with any inkjet printer and requires no special equipment, inks, or finishing techniques to achieve the metallic effect. Polar Gloss Metallic is perfect for my work

In my photography, I am always looking for ways to stand out from other photographers. Polar gloss metallic paper helps me do that. As an intentional camera movement photographer, I strive to create abstracts that have many different meanings to viewers. This paper adds an additional element to my work. As the light on a printed work changes, the metallic features of the paper will bring out different parts of my images resulting in a photograph that looks different as the lighting of the day progresses. Consequently, by printing on this paper, when I sell a piece to a customer, they get much more than a single piece of art that looks the same every time it is viewed.

Not every review is for a working customer. I do have uses for this product that make the landscapes I capture take on an ethereal quality that almost emulates the ocean or sky.
In this current use however, I was able to create a notebook for a six year old grandson who has an early wonder about our solar system. I made an educational work that utilizes images from this NASA website and WOW - do the images pop with the metallic sheen!

For me, I like to think that my tax $$$ go to NASA and JPL research and such sites as these. They are essentially open source and available to all. What's not to like? A curious and happy grandchild; a very fine photo paper to work with; the wonder of our universe in print.
Maybe heaven? Because I'm "in heaven" over this combination! Thanks again RR for crating this product and for the opportunity to share my experiance.
