Not every review is for a working customer. I do have uses for this product that make the landscapes I capture take on an ethereal quality that almost emulates the ocean or sky.

In this current use however, I was able to create a notebook for a six year old grandson who has an early wonder about our solar system. I made an educational work that utilizes images from this NASA website and WOW - do the images pop with the metallic sheen!

For me, I like to think that my tax $$$ go to NASA and JPL research and such sites as these. They are essentially open source and available to all. What's not to like? A curious and happy grandchild; a very fine photo paper to work with; the wonder of our universe in print.

Maybe heaven? Because I'm "in heaven" over this combination! Thanks again RR for crating this product and for the opportunity to share my experiance.

I shoot a lot of car shows and this paper really makes my images pop, I do sublimation printing as well but the crowd favorite is the Metallic paper !!

As a 25 year sports photographer, my subjects and their parents love this paper. I don't bother with any other for action shots.

I recently upgraded to the Canon Pro 1000 from the Canon pixma pro 100 and I wanted to offer more than just luster, glossy, and matte prints to my clients. So it was a no brainer to try out Red River’s sample packs with the ICC Profiles. My first test was with the Polor Gloss Metallic 255 paper and OH MY GOSH!! I didnt know metallic prints could be so vibrant that just made you appreciate the print even more. The paper is a nice thick paper, the shine it produces just makes the image just pop, kinda like a 3D effect.

So i printed out a headshot in Polar Gloss Metallic and the same image on the Polar Luster Metallic and puched out holes for a 3 ring binder and now have a binder with my portfolio to show my clients what type of media i will be offering. So my last 3 clients said they wanted a glossy paper for their prints. I showed them the types of media i offered, and they couldn’t believe how beautiful the Polar Luster Metallic paper is. And they all switched from their previous plain glossy to the Polar Luster Metallic and are truly excited for their prints.

The best part of being a photographer is seeing your work printed out. I am still a fan of luster and satin papers over glossy. But this metallic paper has given me a new appreciation to see the levels of papers that are out on the market these days that i had no clue about. I see why this is a best seller. And i am buying and stocking up because i have a feeling it’s going to be a hit with everyone i work with. Thanks Red River i am truly impressed with the quality of papers you provide. I am definitely be going through more of you samples to see what else i can offer.

The two pictures I provided are glossy and luster metallic, and that cell phone picture does not give those prints justice on how beautiful they really are

Crazy paper!! Highlights look 3D...

I printed up a 13x19 on my Epson 3880 Pro (It still works!) of a Christmas Day panoramic on Bodega Head near Point Reyes National Seashore. It was a blustery, cloudy day, but at 3PM, the Sun was occasionally breaking through to hit the storm-surge waves hitting the rocks. The shadow detail was rather lost in the overall mist and spray in the air, but the Sun hitting those highlights on the crashing waves looked promising. After printing on this paper while looking at it askance in sunlight, you really do get a 3D-like shine off the image. It absolutely popped the highlights. I'm continuing to experiment. This is a FUN PAPER to work with that really revealed highlights in a new way. Love it!

Closest thing to the computer monitor

I love the way the metallic sheen makes images look as bright and dynamic as on my computer screen. It's not right for every image, but when you want the image to really shine and stand out, this is the solution. It's dynamic, not subtle, and gets attention.

Well, the prompt delivery, excellent packaging and quality of this paper are all characteristics of this outstanding glossy metallic paper. Metallic feature makes my floral artwork glow with color. Brings out all the natural colors. Works fantastic on my Canon Pixma Pro 100 printer.
