Wow, I don't give 5 stars normally.
Excellent color and saturation for a matte paper. excellent for B&W Printing, Compared it to some other papers the only paper that beat it was Hahnemuhle Photo Rag and that is almost 4x the price and it only beat it slightly. I also found printing on the photo rag setting on the HP B8850 worked best. I think photo matte was recommended but didn't work as well.

I debated whether to try Red River’s 60lb Polar Matte Photo Paper for quite some time. Finally, I bit the bullet, and I’m glad I did for more reasons than one.First, the product was shipped in a timely fashion; ordered on the 20th and arrived on the 23rd. Second, the packing was second to none. Third, inside the shipping box was another box—an actual box—reminiscent of the sturdy boxes that Kodak papers came in decades ago. The fifty sheets of 13x19 matte bright white paper were in pristine condition. That alone was worth the additional $.125 I’ve been paying for printing paper. Fourth, and most importantly, was the look the bright white paper gave my images; colors are crisp, clear, and vivid; the black & white prints (the majority of my work) have their own “silvery” look without a touch of silver halides.I can’t imagine being happier with the results. I highly recommend it.

I have used polar matte paper for many years to print my greeting cards. The colors are vibrant and I love the way my artwork looks; paper is so important! The best quality paper I have found. And I've tried other papers but never found any that that prints as well as Red River Paper.

This paper seriously blows me away, especially after trying cheaper papers from Amazon! Believe me! It is worth EVERY CENT. My cards on the Amazon paper were so dull but with this paper, they are bright, beautiful, and look just like the artwork! I am so thankful I found this company; you better believe I will buy more!

I have been using Red River papers for several years now. Quality can't be beat. I use a lot of color in my projects and bright clear colors are a must. Ordering is simple too and delivery is quick. Also I like that papers are delivered in heavy lidded boxes...Keep up the good work!

Polar matte is so good for cards

We like the River Linen but the Polar Matte is our go-to for greeting card stock. We print for several clients and were very pleased to be able to get square stock as well. The colors are wonderful, especially for a matte surface. The feel is smooth and thick without being too heavy. Just love it!

I love this paper for printing notecards. As conservation photographers, my husband, Rob Badger, and I used to use the Green recycled paper stock. We're sorry it isn't available anymore but this is a great alternative and our customers love the quality of our cards. We love that we can easily print specific cards when they are running low, create new ones and try them out. We never waste money, or materials, by ordering quantities of cards that may not sell. The profit margin using this paper is great. I have a Canon-Pro 200 and print from Photoshop. I found the best settings for me are:

Amazing Capture on Black Ink

I print black and white illustrations on an inkjet Epson and this paper gives the richest black out of any paper I've tried. It looks like velvet. In addition to the color hold, the fine details don't bleed at all. Everything looks crisp and amazing. I was ecstatic when I tried this paper - I can't express enough how deep the black is on the Polar Matte. This paper makes me feel proud to put my name on my art.
