Success on Paper: Moose Henderson, Wildlife Photographer

Wish you had a one-stop shop for all things printing?

See how we helped this nomadic photographer stay stocked no matter where he roams.

Science and Art in the Wild

As a former scientist with advanced degrees in biology and ecology, wildlife photographer Moose Henderson leverages his education. Knowledge of animal behavior enables Moose to capture a creature’s true nature, giving his work an emotional pull.

For example, in the photo above, the moose makes direct eye contact on level with the camera — an intense moment for the animal’s namesake. The portrait below of a frost-covered bison conveys strength, power, and beauty at a visceral level. The last photo represents the direction Moose sees his work going in the future. He calls it "animalscape" photography — a combination of wildlife and landscape, both in sharp focus.

Enter Red River Paper

Even in the small, mobile homes he’s lived in — for ease of tracking wildlife — Moose has always made space for a printer. And he's chosen Red River Paper as his trusted “one-stop shop for printer supplies.” Among his favorite papers are our 68 lb. UltraPro Satin 4.0, with its lightly textured surface that breaks up reflections and minimizes fingerprints, and our 60 lb Pecos River Gloss scored sheets, perfect for greeting cards thanks to its high-gloss, smooth surface.

Moose is also a fan of our Canon Ink Cartridges, Bright White Envelopes, and our Clear Card Display Bags and Boxes. We are thrilled to offer everything photographers and artists need to bring their vision to life and their work to fans. We even carry postage stamps if you’re producing and mailing your own holiday cards.
